Late-July Mini Update!

Environmental Bond Bill

Act today and support the Environmental Bond Bill, which increases funding for DCR’s public parklands. There are only 4 business days left to pass the Environmental Bill (no. H. 4847). Contact your local Representative (to find out go to www.wheredoivotema.com). Ask to speak to your Senator or Rep and ask that he or she do everything possible to support this bill. Please visit www.envirobond.org for more information.

Publick Theatre Performance on the Charles

Running through September 14th, the play "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov and "Hay Fever" by Noel Coward will be performed on the Publick Theatre's unique open-air stage at Herter Park, right by the Charles River. For more information log on to www.publicktheatre.com.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra

Enjoy concerts at the Hatch Shell, Wednesday nights through September 10th. Please visit www.Landmarksorchestra.org for their complete summer concert schedule. 

Free Yoga in the Parklands!

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is sponsoring free yoga on the Charles River Esplanade on Monday evenings, from 6:30-7:30pm, through August 18th. All ages and abilities are welcome. Participants should bring an ID, yoga mat and water. Located in front of the Hatch Shell, weather permitting. Contact 617-727-1058.

The Charles River Conservancy takes as its mission the renewal and stewardship of the Charles River Parklands and their surroundings, particularly parks, parkways and bridges. The Conservancy engages in numerous Parklands restoration and improvement initiatives, including access and safety, education and outreach, and planning and maintenance programs, and relies heavily on individual contributions.
